FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Details
The Women in Finance Scholarship is designed to encourage and support women pursuing careers in financial asset management, market risk management, and derivatives finance within the capital markets. Launched in 2014, the scholarship continues to thrive under the support of Numerix, following their acquisition of FINCAD in 2023. FINCAD, based in Vancouver, Canada, aims to simplify derivatives finance by providing analytics to manage exposures, calculate fair values, and size trades appropriately.

2024 FINCAD Scholarship Requirements
To be considered for the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarships, you must:
- Be enrolled and attending a master’s or PhD Finance program on a full-time basis.
- Have commenced your studies no earlier than January 1, 2024, and no later than February 1, 2025.
- Have less than 10 years of total work experience and less than 5 years of professional experience in the financial field.
- Be a female citizen of any country enrolled in a post-graduate program in Finance at an accredited university.
FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Duration and Reward
Each year, one eligible woman is awarded US$20,000 to support her graduate-level studies in Finance. Half of the award is paid directly to the winner, while the remaining half is paid to the educational institution to assist with tuition. Additionally, all FINCAD employees receive two paid days off per calendar year for volunteer work. FINCAD HOPE researches organizations for suitable projects and matches the need with internal talents to recruit volunteers.
