Who is Eligible for the Harvard University Academy Scholars Program 2024?
To be eligible for the Harvard University Academy Scholars Program 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Doctoral Degree: Applicants must have completed a PhD or comparable doctoral degree within two years of the start date (August 1, 2025). Advanced doctoral candidates nearing the completion of their dissertation are also eligible.
- Degree Documentation: Scholars close to completing their dissertation must provide degree conferral documentation from their university registrar by June 30, 2025, for an August 1, 2025, start.
- Previous Fellowships: Individuals who have held or completed another Harvard postdoctoral fellowship are not eligible to apply.

What are the Benefits of the scholarship in USA?

- Stipend: Each Academy Scholar receives an annual stipend of $80,000 for a two-year in-residence appointment, with the flexibility to complete this within a three-year period.
- Flexible Appointment: Year 1 of the fellowship must commence by the fall following the fellowship offer. Scholars may request a one-time, 12-month leave between Years 1 and 2 to accept or continue a tenure-track teaching position.
- Exclusive Commitment: Scholars may not accept additional funding or awards during their appointment.
