About this internship

The ESA Young Graduate Trainee (YGT) programme gives recent graduates the opportunity to work at the European Space Agency for one year with the possibility of a one-year extension. YGTs work on active space missions and projects across ESA’s sites in the Netherlands (ESTEC), Germany (ESOC), Italy (ESRIN), Spain (ESAC), and the UK (ECSAT).

Who can apply

Must be a citizen of an ESA Member State or Cooperating State. Must have completed a Master's degree within the last 2 years. Must be under 32 years of age. Background in engineering, science, computer science, or business relevant to space activities.

What you will do

  • Work as a Young Graduate Trainee on a one-year project in space engineering or science
  • Contribute to real ESA missions and programmes under supervision
  • Develop specialist skills alongside ESA experts
  • Deliver your project results
