INTERPOL Internship Programme

The INTERPOL Internship Programme places students and recent graduates inside the world’s police cooperation organization for six to eleven months, at the Lyon headquarters, the Singapore innovation complex or regional bureaus, with a monthly allowance of roughly EUR 550 in Lyon. Interns support real units across cybercrime, analysis, legal affairs, IT and communications, subject to security screening.

Eligibility spans nationals of 190+ member countries, and vacancies post individually on the careers site year-round. For security, law and IT students, few internships carry comparable signal.

• Nationals of INTERPOL's member countries, which cover 190+ states including Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Bangladesh and virtually all others.
• Current students or recent graduates (each vacancy defines its recency window) in fields like criminology, law, international relations, IT, cybersecurity, data analysis, communications and administration.
• At least 18 years old with a clean record compatible with security screening.
• Fluent English; French, Spanish or Arabic add value across duty stations.
• Strong computer literacy and the specific skills each internship notice lists.
• Ability to obtain any visa required for the duty station, with the organization's supporting documents.

• Support INTERPOL units at the Lyon General Secretariat, the Singapore Global Complex for Innovation or regional bureaus.
• Contribute to research, analysis, project support and documentation in areas from cybercrime and counter-terrorism to forensics support and communications.
• Work within a strictly neutral international police cooperation body connecting 190+ member countries.
• Handle real operational-support tasks under supervision, subject to confidentiality rules.
• Join briefings and training exposure that no national placement can replicate.
• Deliver defined outputs to your unit across a six-to-eleven-month placement.
