About This Scholarship

The Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme assists outstanding students from select developing countries who have no other means of financing their postgraduate studies. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant and 50% loan basis, but the loan component can be converted to a grant based on financial need assessment. The Foundation prioritizes studies that lead to employment in the applicant's home country. The scholarship can be used at renowned universities worldwide. Fields of study must be relevant to the development needs of the applicant's home country.
