About this scholarship
DAAD funds scholarships for African students to study at partner universities within Africa (not in Germany). Promotes quality higher education within the African continent.
Eligibility
- Citizens of Sub-Saharan African countries
- Bachelor's degree with good grades
- Relevant work experience (2+ years for some programs)
- English proficiency

How to Apply
- Be a graduate from Sub-Saharan Africa with a first degree (for a master's) or a master's degree (for a PhD)
- Apply to one of the preselected development-related degree programmes at a participating Sub-Saharan African institution
- Study in your home country (In-Country) or another Sub-Saharan African country (In-Region)
- Follow the specific call for applications for your chosen programme
