About this scholarship
The University of Edinburgh Glenmore Scholarship supports talented students from African countries to pursue postgraduate study in health-related disciplines at the University of Edinburgh. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and the potential for the candidate to contribute to health and medical developments in their home country. Edinburgh’s medical school is one of the oldest and most respected in the world.
Eligibility
Must be a citizen of an African country. Must be applying for a full-time postgraduate program in a health or medical discipline at the University of Edinburgh. Must not have previously studied at the University of Edinburgh. Strong academic record with a first-class or upper second-class degree equivalent. Demonstrated commitment to health development in Africa.

How to Apply
- Hold or expect the equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree and an offer of admission to an eligible human-medical or health master's programme at Edinburgh
- Firmly accept the offer
- Complete the online scholarship application (via the MyEd portal) with a personal statement addressing the set questions, by the deadline
- The scholarship particularly welcomes applicants from Africa
