About this scholarship
Austrian government scholarship named after physicist Ernst Mach, for students from specific countries to study at Austrian universities. Part of the OeAD scholarship program.
Eligibility
Citizens of specific eligible countries (varies by program track). Must be enrolled at a university in home country or hold a degree. Under 35 for PhD. Research plan required.
Benefits & Coverage
Monthly stipend of EUR 1,250-1,350, tuition waiver at Austrian public universities, health insurance, travel grant

How to Apply
- Be a student or researcher from outside Austria
- Secure a confirmation of academic supervision from an Austrian host professor
- Submit the online application at scholarships.at with your research proposal, CV, and the supervisor's letter of acceptance by the deadline (around 1 February)
- You must not have studied or researched in Austria in the six months before the grant
