About this scholarship
The Global Korea Scholarship (formerly KGSP) is South Korea’s flagship government scholarship, funding international students for undergraduate and graduate degrees at Korean universities, normally including a year of intensive Korean language training before the degree.
GKS covers everything: tuition, a monthly allowance of around KRW 1,000,000 for graduate students, airfare, settlement and completion grants, and health insurance. You can apply through a Korean embassy in your country or directly through a participating university.

Eligibility
- Citizen of an eligible country (you and your parents must not hold Korean citizenship)
- Age limits: under 25 for undergraduate, under 40 for graduate at entry
- GPA of roughly 80 percent or above in previous studies
- Good health and no prior GKS award at the same level
