Italian Government Scholarships

For international students to study at Italian universities. Covers monthly allowance and tuition waiver.

Open to international students studying in Italy. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance (typically GPA 3.0+ or equivalent). Partial funding available. English proficiency required. Financial need may be considered. Check official website for country-specific requirements.

• Financial grant of €10,800 total (paid in 3 installments to your Italian bank account)
• Tuition fee exemption at participating Italian public universities
• Health and accident insurance coverage during the scholarship period
• Available for Master's, PhD, AFAM (arts/music/dance), and Italian language courses
• Scholarship duration: 6–9 months depending on program type
• Access to Italy's renowned higher education system across all disciplines

• Valid passport (min 6 months validity)
• Bachelor's and Master's degree certificates and transcripts
• Research proposal (2-5 pages)
• Two academic reference letters
• English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+)
• Updated CV/Resume
• Statement of purpose / Motivation letter
• Publications list (if any)

• Be a citizen of an eligible country (foreign students not residing in Italy) or an Italian citizen living abroad, meeting the age and academic requirements and the B2 language level (Italian or English)
• Apply exclusively online through the Study in Italy portal by the deadline (around late March)
• Upload your degrees/transcripts, language certificate, and (for PhD) an admission letter or (for research) a supervisor's invitation
