About this scholarship
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), located on the shores of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, provides a fully funded fellowship to EVERY admitted graduate student — there is no separate scholarship competition. KAUST is a research-focused STEM university with world-class facilities, offering Master’s and PhD programs in biological sciences, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, environmental science, and more. The campus is a self-contained community with free housing, recreation, and amenities.
Eligibility
- Must hold a bachelor's degree (for Master's) or master's degree (for PhD) in a STEM-related field from an accredited institution
- Must demonstrate strong academic achievement
- Must be proficient in English (IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL 79+ or equivalent)
- Open to all nationalities worldwide with no restrictions
- Must have research aptitude and interest as demonstrated through prior research, publications, or thesis work
- GRE scores are recommended but not always required

How to Apply
- Apply for admission to a KAUST graduate (M.S. or Ph.D.) programme through the online application with official transcripts, a statement of purpose, CV, and three recommendation letters (English proficiency required)
- All admitted students automatically receive the KAUST Fellowship (full tuition, on-campus housing, a monthly living allowance, medical coverage, and relocation/travel support)
- No separate scholarship application is needed
