Eligibility

  • Citizens of countries with diplomatic relations with South Korea
  • Under 25 for Bachelor's, under 40 for Master's/PhD
  • GPA of 80% or above
  • Both applicant and parents must be non-Korean citizens

Required Documents

  • Valid passport (min 6 months validity)
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree certificates and transcripts
  • Research proposal (2-5 pages)
  • Two academic reference letters
  • English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+)
  • Updated CV/Resume
  • Statement of purpose / Motivation letter
  • Publications list (if any)

How to Apply

  • Choose ONE track: Embassy Track (apply via the Korean Embassy in your home country) or University Track (apply directly to a GKS-designated Korean university)
  • Apply by the deadline through the Study in Korea portal, embassy, or university with the required forms (application, personal statement, study plan, recommendation letter) and certificates
  • Selection is by NIIED in multiple rounds
