KTH Tuition Fee Scholarship 2027-28

KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Scandinavia’s largest and oldest technical university, offers tuition fee scholarships to excellent non-EU/EEA students admitted to Master’s programmes. KTH is ranked among the top 100 universities globally and produces one-third of Sweden’s technical research. Stockholm is a global leader in innovation, sustainability, and quality of life. Sweden also offers a generous post-study work permit.

Must be a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen required to pay tuition fees. Must have applied for a Master's programme at KTH through universityadmissions.se. Must demonstrate excellent academic performance in prior studies. Must meet the admission requirements of the chosen programme.

Full or partial tuition fee waiver (tuition is approximately SEK 155,000-310,000 per year depending on programme), access to Sweden's most prestigious technical university, study in Stockholm, Europe's innovation capital, Swedish residence permit allows part-time work during studies, pathway to 12-month post-study job-seeker permit, connections to Sweden's thriving tech ecosystem (Spotify, Klarna, Ericsson)

Application through universityadmissions.se, Bachelor's degree certificate and transcripts, English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+), CV/Resume, Motivation letter (for some programmes), Letters of recommendation (for some programmes), Portfolio (for architecture/design programmes), Passport copy

• Be a fee-paying (typically non-EU/EEA) student who has applied to an eligible KTH master's programme as your first priority through the Sweden University Admissions system and paid the application fee
• The KTH Scholarship (a tuition-fee waiver, not living costs) is awarded on academic excellence, assessed in parallel with admissions
• Second-year funding depends on satisfactory first-year results; apply by the master's admission deadline (around 15 January)
