Lancaster University Postgraduate International Scholarships

Lancaster University, a leading UK research university, offers postgraduate international scholarships to help overseas students fund a taught master’s degree. The awards are tuition-fee discounts, with a dedicated regional scholarship for students from a set of underrepresented countries and faculty-based excellence awards for applicants from elsewhere.

The headline award is the Postgraduate International Regional Scholarship of 10,000 pounds for citizens of 14 underrepresented countries (including Pakistan). For other countries, faculty-based Master’s Excellence Scholarships apply: up to 9,000 pounds in Science and Technology, up to 20 percent of tuition in Management, 20 percent in Arts and Social Sciences, and 25 percent in Health, with Lancaster alumni receiving a further 10 percent. These are one-time awards applied to the year of study.

Eligibility is for overseas (international) fee payers holding an offer for an eligible full-time on-campus taught master’s; the Regional Scholarship requires citizenship of one of the 14 listed countries with a first-class or 2:1 background, while the faculty-based Excellence Scholarship applies to applicants from other countries. The awards are automatic: you apply for an eligible master’s, hold or accept your offer, and the relevant tuition award is applied automatically, with no separate scholarship application. For international master’s applicants, including those from Pakistan, it is a straightforward tuition reduction.
