McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University

The McCall MacBain Scholarships are Canada’s first comprehensive leadership-based scholarships for master’s and professional study, offered at McGill University in Montreal. Created by a landmark gift, they support outstanding individuals not only with full funding but with an extensive programme of mentorship, coaching, and leadership development designed to prepare them to lead and serve.

The award covers full tuition for the duration of the eligible graduate programme and a living stipend, along with a tailored enrichment programme of mentorship, workshops, coaching, and leadership development, plus covered travel to Montreal for finalist interviews and entry to a growing community of scholars.

Eligibility is open to all nationalities, for those applying for an eligible master’s or professional degree at McGill for Fall 2027 entry, who are completing a first bachelor’s degree, earned one within the last five years, or earned one earlier and were 30 or younger on 1 January 2026, and who meet McGill’s admission requirements. You complete the McCall MacBain online application (separate from and before McGill admissions, with two references) and then apply separately to a McGill programme; PhDs, part-time, executive master’s, and certificates are not covered. For emerging leaders, it is a flagship Canadian opportunity.

• Confirm you are on track to earn (or have recently earned) your first bachelor's degree within the eligibility window, meeting McGill's admission and language requirements.
• Complete the McCall MacBain online application (separate from and before McGill admissions, with two references), listing up to five eligible programmes.
• Then apply separately to a McGill master's or professional programme; PhDs, part-time, executive master's, and certificates are not covered (confirm the current date).
