MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship

MPOWER Financing, a mission-driven fintech company, offers monthly scholarships to international students and DACA students studying at top universities in the United States and Canada. The Global Citizen Scholarship recognizes students who are committed to making a positive impact in their communities and the world. Unlike loans, this is a grant that does not need to be repaid. MPOWER has helped students from 200+ countries and territories access higher education in North America.

• Must be an international student or DACA recipient currently enrolled or accepted at a qualifying university in the United States or Canada (MPOWER's partner school list includes 400+ institutions)
• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
• Must have a valid F-1, J-1, M-1, or OPT visa (for US) or valid study permit (for Canada), or DACA status
• Must demonstrate commitment to community impact and positive change

• One-time scholarship grant of up to $5,000 USD (no repayment required)
• Financial education resources and webinars
• Community networking with past scholarship recipients
• Access to MPOWER's student community and events
• No impact on student loan eligibility

Completed online application form, Short essay or video response to the scholarship prompt, Proof of enrollment or admission at a qualifying institution, Copy of valid student visa or DACA documentation, CV/Resume (optional but recommended)

• Be an international or DACA student accepted to or enrolled in a full-time degree programme at a US or Canadian school that MPOWER supports, and legally allowed to study there (a valid US study visa/DACA/green card, or a Canadian study permit/PR)
• You do not need to be an MPOWER borrower
• Complete the online application and submit the required essay (with your visa stamped by the closing date); winners are chosen on the essay and funds are disbursed to the school
