About this scholarship
New Zealand government scholarships for students from selected developing countries in the Pacific, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Master’s and PhD levels at NZ universities.
Eligibility
- Citizens of eligible developing countries
- Must meet English proficiency requirements
- Relevant work experience preferred
- Must return home after studies

How to Apply
- Be a citizen of an eligible developing country in the Pacific or Asia, aged 18+ at the start, who has lived in your home country for the two years before applying and commits to returning home for at least two years after study to contribute to its development
- Study full-time in a priority field at an eligible New Zealand institution (or a Pacific university for some Pacific scholars)
- Register and apply online through the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship system during your country's application window (around March) with your documents and a statement of your development-impact plans
