OEA/GCUB Scholarship (Brazil)

Organization of American States and Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities offer scholarships for citizens of OAS member countries to study at Brazilian universities. Tuition is already free in Brazil.

• Citizens of OAS member states (35 countries in the Americas) except Brazil
• Bachelor degree
• Under 45
• Willingness to learn Portuguese

• Tuition waiver (already free at Brazilian public universities)
• Monthly stipend
• Health insurance
• Portuguese language course

OAS application, Transcripts, Degree certificates, CV, Motivation letter, Passport copy, Medical certificate

• Be a citizen or permanent resident of an OAS member state other than Brazil, holding the degree required for your level, who has not received another OAS/Brazil scholarship at the same level
• Apply to three master's or doctoral programmes at GCUB-associated Brazilian universities located in three different regions of Brazil, and submit the online PAEC OAS-GCUB application via the OAS scholarships portal with supporting documents by the deadline
• No Portuguese proficiency is needed at application, but selected scholars must show intermediate Portuguese before completing studies; tuition is waived with a partial monthly stipend (you cover airfare, visa, insurance, and extra living costs)
