Politecnico di Milano International Merit Award 2027

Politecnico di Milano, Italy’s top technical university and ranked in the world’s top 15 for engineering and design, offers International Merit Awards to outstanding international students enrolling in Master of Science programmes. The award is a significant tuition fee reduction, effectively reducing costs to near-zero. Milan is Europe’s design and fashion capital with a growing tech scene. Available for the 2027-28 academic year.

Must be an international student (non-Italian citizenship). Must have an outstanding undergraduate academic record. Must be applying for a Master of Science programme at Politecnico di Milano. Must not have previously enrolled in an Italian Master's programme at the same level.

Tuition fee waiver of approximately €10,000 per year for 2 years (entire Master's programme duration), access to world-class engineering, design, and architecture facilities, opportunity to study in Milan with its thriving professional ecosystem, student housing support, Italian language courses

Online admission application, Bachelor's degree certificate and academic transcripts, CV/Resume, Motivation letter, English language proficiency (IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL 78+), GRE/GMAT (recommended for some programmes), Passport copy, Portfolio (for architecture and design programmes)

• Be an international student admitted to the first year of an English-taught Master of Science programme at Politecnico di Milano
• Apply for admission during the early window (around 1 October to 1 December) and pay the application fee, then complete the separate merit-based scholarship application form, submitting a valid English-language certificate by the stated deadline
• Selection is on academic merit and your application documents; awards include a full tuition-fee waiver (recipients pay only a small administrative fee of about EUR 170) and, for some, a gross allowance of up to about EUR 10,000 per year
