POSTECH International Graduate Scholarship

POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) offers comprehensive scholarships for international graduate students. The scholarship enables outstanding scientists and engineers to conduct frontier research in a world-class environment.

• Non-Korean citizens with a bachelor's degree in science or engineering
• GPA 3.0+
• English proficiency
• Strong research interests aligned with POSTECH faculty
• Requires faculty advisor agreement before admission

• Full tuition exemption
• Monthly stipend of KRW 400,000 (master's) to KRW 500,000 (PhD)
• On-campus housing at subsidized rates
• Research funding support

• Valid passport (min 6 months validity)
• Bachelor's and Master's degree certificates and transcripts
• Research proposal (2-5 pages)
• Two academic reference letters
• English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+)
• Updated CV/Resume
• Statement of purpose / Motivation letter
• Publications list (if any)

• Be a non-Korean citizen (or a Korean who completed all education abroad) applying for a full-time MS, MS-PhD integrated, or PhD programme (MS/integrated applicants should have completed or be finishing a bachelor's; PhD applicants a master's), meeting POSTECH's English-proficiency requirements
• Apply online through the POSTECH graduate admissions system, selecting the POSTECH Scholarship under financial resources, and submit transcripts, a research plan, references, and English test results by the intake deadline
• Admitted graduate students are funded via a Graduate Assistantship covering tuition and a living allowance
