About this scholarship
The Radboud Scholarship Programme is offered by Radboud University in Nijmegen to support talented non-EEA students undertaking an English-taught master’s degree. It is a competitive award that sharply reduces tuition for a limited number of international students each year, making study at a leading Dutch research university affordable.
Rather than full funding, the award reduces the non-EEA master’s tuition fee to around 2,694 euros a year (instead of roughly 18,000) and covers the costs of a Dutch visa, residence permit, health insurance, and liability insurance; living and study costs are not covered. It runs for the duration of the master’s, and for two-year programmes continuation depends on passing the first year. Up to 33 scholarships are available in a given year.
Eligibility is for students with a non-EU/EEA passport who are not eligible for the lower EEA tuition rate, who hold (or are completing) a bachelor’s obtained outside the Netherlands with no prior Dutch degree, who meet the English requirement, and who are fully admitted to an eligible English-taught master’s (Erasmus Mundus and joint-degree programmes are excluded). You apply for admission via the OSIRIS system, indicate you wish to apply for the scholarship, and upload the extra documents; selection is separate from admission. For non-EEA master’s students aiming at the Netherlands, it is a valuable tuition award.
