About this scholarship

Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), established in partnership with MIT, offers fully funded Master’s and PhD scholarships in STEM fields. No IELTS/GRE required.

  • Bachelor's degree for MSc, Master's for PhD

  • No IELTS/TOEFL required (English test during selection)

How to Apply

  • Hold (or be completing) a bachelor's for the MSc, or a master's/specialist degree for the PhD, in a relevant science/engineering field, with a strong academic record and English proficiency (all programmes are in English; no IELTS/GRE is mandatory, though a test may be set at Selection Days)
  • For the PhD, identify and contact a Skoltech faculty supervisor and prepare a research proposal; submit the online application via the Skoltech admissions portal with transcripts, a motivation letter, and recommendation letters by the deadline, then attend Selection Days (interviews and an English test)
  • All admitted students are automatically funded: tuition-free with a monthly stipend (around 40,000 rubles MSc, 75,000 rubles PhD), medical insurance, and a one-time airfare grant for international students
