How to Apply
- Stanford provides need-based aid (no need-based loans expected) and meets the full demonstrated need of all admitted students who request aid, regardless of citizenship; admission is need-blind for US citizens, permanent residents, and US-educated undocumented students, while for other international applicants requesting aid is a factor in the (more selective) admission decision, and international aid resources are limited
- Indicate on your admission application that you are applying for aid (international students who do not request it at the time of admission cannot apply later)
- Submit the required financial documents (the CSS Profile, or the International Student Application for Financial Assistance) by the deadline; aid is awarded from institutional scholarship funds based on family financial circumstances
