About this scholarship
Türkiye Scholarships (Türkiye Bursları) is one of the most comprehensive government scholarship programs in the world, offering full funding for international students at all levels — undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD — at Turkish universities. The program covers virtually all costs of studying and living in Turkey and includes a one-year Turkish language preparatory program. Over 180,000 students from 178 countries have applied in recent years, and Turkey hosts over 200,000 international students. Turkish universities offer programs in English and Turkish across all fields.
Eligibility
- Open to citizens of all countries except Turkey.
- Must be under 21 for undergraduate, under 30 for Master's, and under 35 for PhD.
- Must have a GPA of 70% or higher (undergraduate) or 75% or higher (Master's/PhD).
- Must not be currently studying in Turkey.
- Must not have previously received a Türkiye Scholarship.
- Must be in good health. Must be willing to learn Turkish.
- For Master's/PhD: must hold the relevant prior degree or be in the final year of study.

How to Apply
- Be a non-Turkish national meeting the age limits (roughly under 21 for undergraduate, under 30 for master's, under 35 for PhD, under 45 for research) with strong academic results (around 70% GPA for undergraduate, higher for graduate)
- Apply free and individually online via the official Turkiye Scholarships platform (turkiyeburslari.gov.tr) during the window (around January to February), uploading transcripts, diploma, ID/passport, and any required test scores; selection includes evaluation and interviews
- The single application covers both scholarship and university placement (no separate admission needed). Fully funded: tuition, monthly stipend, accommodation, health insurance, return airfare, and a one-year Turkish-language course (TOMER) for those without C1 Turkish
