TWAS-SN Bose Postgraduate Fellowship
About this scholarship
The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and S.N. Bose National Centre offer PhD research fellowships for scientists from developing countries (other than India) to study in India.
Eligibility
Citizens of developing countries (excluding India). Under 35. Master's degree in physics, mathematics, or related fields. Research aptitude.

How to Apply
- Be a national of a developing country other than India, maximum age 35 (on 31 December of the application year), holding a master's in physics, chemistry, biology, or mathematics (with at least five years of combined undergraduate and postgraduate study), and not holding a residency visa for India or a developed country
- Pursue a PhD in the physical/natural/life sciences either as a sandwich PhD registered in your home country, or full-time enrolled at S.N. Bose
- First identify and secure a preliminary acceptance letter from a prospective S.N. Bose supervisor/department, then submit your application through the TWAS online portal by the deadline. S.N. Bose provides a monthly stipend and free on-campus accommodation (fellows arrange their own medical insurance)
