About this scholarship
The IDEX scholarship supports outstanding international students pursuing Master’s programs at Université Grenoble Alpes, one of France’s top research universities. Open across all faculties and disciplines.
Eligibility
International students (non-French) applying for a Master's program at UGA. Excellent academic record (GPA equivalent of 14/20 French scale or above). English or French proficiency depending on program.

How to Apply
- Be an international student (currently enrolled at a university outside France, or holding your most recent degree or your Baccalaureat from a foreign institution) with strong academic merit, applying to enter the first or second year of a master's (or the second/third year of an engineering degree) in an eligible UGA academic division (UGA, Grenoble INP, Sciences Po Grenoble, or ENSAG)
- First apply for admission to your chosen master's/engineering programme (each has its own deadline), indicating interest in the IdEx scholarship
- The academic division selects recipients shortly after the admission decision. Provides a stipend (around EUR 9,000 per year); note the scholarship does not automatically waive tuition
