New Zealand’s top-ranked university offers doctoral scholarships for outstanding international research students across all faculties.

• Annual stipend of NZD 31,000 for up to 3 years

• Be offered a place in an approved doctoral programme (PhD, DMedSc, DClinPsy, DocFA, EdD, or DHSc); you are eligible for scholarship consideration before receiving your offer of place
• There is no separate application: when you apply for the doctoral programme (rounds close 1 November, 1 February, 1 May, or 1 August), indicate you wish to be considered, and do NOT enrol before the scholarship outcome is advised; it is awarded on faculty/committee recommendation
• Provides a tax-free stipend (around NZ$35,468/year) plus compulsory tuition fees and the single-student health insurance charge for international students (international PhD students pay domestic fees under a NZ government scheme and must reside in NZ)
