How to Apply

  • UChicago meets 100% of demonstrated financial need with a loan-free package for admitted first-year students (including international students), and also offers competitive merit scholarships (awarded automatically to first-year applicants on academic and extracurricular achievement, regardless of need)
  • International applicants must apply for need-based aid at the time of admission (those who do not cannot apply in later years; international transfers are not eligible)
  • Complete the Student Financial Aid Worksheet in your UChicago Account and submit proof of family income and assets (international applicants do not submit the CSS Profile or FAFSA) by the relevant admission deadline. Need-based packages cover tuition and fees as far as possible plus an international student stipend toward living costs
