University of Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship

Warwick’s most prestigious scholarship for international PhD students. Covers full overseas tuition and provides a generous maintenance stipend for up to 3.5 years.

• International (non-UK) students applying for a full-time PhD
• Exceptional academic merit and research potential

• Full tuition fees (overseas rate)
• Maintenance stipend of approximately GBP 18,000/year
• Research training support grant

PhD application, Research proposal, Academic transcripts, Two academic references, CV, English proficiency (IELTS 6.5+)

• Be an outstanding international applicant assessed as overseas for fee purposes (no other nationality criteria), in any discipline, who is either applying for a PhD at Warwick or within the first 12 months of an enrolled PhD or MPhil/PhD
• First submit your PhD course application by the course deadline (around early December), then complete the separate scholarship application via Warwick's scholarship portal by its deadline (a few days later); departments nominate their strongest candidates and faculties make the final selection (the award cannot be deferred)
• Fully funded: full tuition, a maintenance stipend at the UKRI rate for up to 3.5 years, and a Research, Training and Support Grant (around GBP 5,000)
