Uppsala University Global Scholarship
About this scholarship
The Uppsala University Global Scholarship is offered to outstanding international students from outside the EU/EEA who apply to a Master’s program at Uppsala University in Sweden. The scholarship covers 75% or 100% of tuition fees for the full duration of the program. Uppsala University is one of Northern Europe’s highest-ranked universities and offers over 60 Master’s programs in English across sciences, humanities, social sciences, and engineering.
Eligibility
- Must be a fee-paying international student (non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen)
- Must have applied to a Master's program at Uppsala University through universityadmissions.se
- Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement (top grades in previous studies)
- Must meet all program-specific admission requirements
- Only first-time applicants to Uppsala University are eligible
- Cannot be combined with other Uppsala University scholarships

How to Apply
- Be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, liable to pay tuition fees, with strong academic talent, who has applied to an eligible international master's programme at Uppsala University as your first-priority choice via universityadmissions.se by the admissions deadline (paying the application fee and submitting supporting documents) and meets that programme's entry requirements
- Then submit the separate online Uppsala University scholarship application (including a motivation letter) during the scholarship round (around mid-January to early February)
- Selection is merit-based and highly competitive (only about 2% succeed). The scholarship covers the full tuition fee but not living expenses
