Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship Details
The Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship is available to qualified international students at the University of Queensland. Established in 2019 by Andrew and Paula Liveris, this scholarship is maintained through an endowed fund to support future leaders capable of addressing significant global challenges.
Scholarships are offered as either a “Liveris Academy Merit Scholarship” or a specific “Named Scholarship” under the Liveris Academy Scholarship Scheme.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Liveris Academy Scholarship, applicants must:
- Complete, or have completed, Year 12 in the two years prior to the award (2022, 2023).
- Have completed no more than one semester towards the following programs in the year of the award:
- Bachelor of Computer Science
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- An engineering integrated program
- Bachelor of Science
- Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours)
- Bachelor of Information Technology
- Bachelor of Mathematics
- A dual program including one of these programs.
- Not have undertaken any tertiary study at the Bachelor level or higher prior to enrolling in the approved program (special studies not included).
- Not hold another scholarship deemed similar by the Director.

Scholarship Duration and Reward
- $10,000 per annum for a period of four years.
- Up to $10,000 for travel support for approved Gap Semester, exchange, or internship opportunities.
Selection Criteria
The University of Queensland will consider:
- Academic Achievement: Evidence of academic success in Year 12 and/or an approved program.
- Quality of Application: Including a short video and essay.
- Personal Qualities: Leadership potential, community service, alignment with the Liveris Academy’s graduate attributes, and a commitment to academic excellence.
- Participation: Willingness to engage in co-curricular activities at UQ and through the Liveris Academy.
- Additional Factors: Any other relevant factors that contribute to future success at UQ and in subsequent careers.
Application Process to study in Australia
To apply for the Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship, follow these steps:
- Prepare Documents:
- A cover letter.
- Your resume.
- A copy of your semester 2 Year 11 report and your semester 1 Year 12 report (or equivalent) or the most recent university transcript if already attending UQ.
- Create a Short Video: No longer than 1 minute, demonstrating how you meet the selection criteria.
