Student life
Universities are spread across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, and housing is costly and small, so a hall place makes a big difference. Public transport is cheap and efficient, and country parks and hiking trails are close to every campus. Summers are hot, humid and stormy. Non-local degree students can currently work part-time without hour limits under a temporary exemption, though many part-time jobs need Cantonese.
