Rhodes University
Why study here
Rhodes University is a small public residential university in Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown), in South Africa's Eastern Cape, founded in 1904. It is known for journalism and media studies, the sciences and the humanities, and hosts the International Library of African Music and the Institute for Water Research. Teaching is in English, and because Makhanda is a small town, student life centres on the campus and its residences.
