PhD scholarships are awarded based on a comparative evaluation of merit and ranking order. In case of a tie, preference is given to candidates with the lowest family income (ISEE). Scholarships are not available to students who have previously been awarded a doctoral scholarship, even partially, and cannot be combined with other grants. Additionally, some scholarships may be funded by the European Union or other international bodies.
