The short version
We use a small set of cookies and similar storage to keep the site working, remember your preferences (like dismissing the cookie banner), and understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies help sites work efficiently, remember preferences, and provide usage information. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. The cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working. You cannot opt out without breaking core functionality.
- WordPress session cookies: standard cookies used by WordPress to keep the site running and to deliver pages correctly.
- scholyhub_cookie_consent: remembers whether you have accepted or dismissed our cookie banner.
- Form anti-spam tokens: short-lived cookies used to verify that form submissions come from real visitors and not bots.
2.2 Preference cookies
Currently we do not set any preference cookies beyond the consent cookie above. If we add features that require remembering your choices in the future, we will update this policy.
2.3 Analytics cookies
If we enable site analytics in the future, we may use cookies to understand which pages are popular and how visitors navigate the site. Any analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. We never use it to personally identify individuals.
2.4 What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not allow third-party advertisers to track you across the web through our site. If we ever introduce advertising, we will update this policy and request fresh consent before any tracking begins.
3. Third-party services
Some of our embedded content (such as YouTube videos in blog posts, if any) may set their own cookies. Those cookies are controlled by the third party, not by ScholyHub, and are subject to that provider’s privacy policy.
4. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies. You can also block cookies entirely, though this may break parts of the site. Browser instructions:
5. Do Not Track
ScholyHub does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we do not engage in cross-site user tracking either.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions.
