Israel Government Scholarship

The Israeli government, through its Council for Higher Education, offers scholarships to attract outstanding international graduate students to Israeli universities. Israel’s world-class universities, particularly in cybersecurity, agricultural technology, medical technology, and water management, make this scholarship especially valuable for students in these high-demand fields.

• Citizens of any country (not Israeli citizens)
• Accepted or applying to an Israeli university for graduate study
• Strong academic record
• Fields aligned with Israeli research strengths: cybersecurity, agritech, cleantech, life sciences, and related areas preferred
• Hebrew or English proficiency depending on program

• Partial or full tuition reduction
• Monthly stipend contribution of USD 800-1,000
• Housing assistance at some universities
• Access to Israeli research networks and industry connections

• Valid passport (min 6 months validity)
• Bachelor's and Master's degree certificates and transcripts
• Research proposal (2-5 pages)
• Two academic reference letters
• English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+)
• Updated CV/Resume
• Statement of purpose / Motivation letter
• Publications list (if any)

• Hold a completed BA/BSc or higher and not be an Israeli citizen
• First be accepted to an Israeli institution recognised by the Council for Higher Education
• Apply through the Israeli Embassy or consulate in your home country (by their deadline) with the application pack, health form, academic records, a study/research letter (and a supervisor's acceptance for research/post-doc), and two references
• Awarded under bilateral cultural agreements
