MIT Undergraduate Admission with Need-Based Financial Aid
About this scholarship
MIT is need-blind for every applicant, including international students: your ability to pay plays no role in the admission decision, and MIT then meets 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for all four years.
This is need-based aid rather than a merit scholarship, but in practice it means a fully funded MIT degree for admitted students from low and middle income families anywhere in the world. MIT awards no merit, athletic, or talent scholarships at all; everything is by need.
For entry in autumn 2027, Early Action applications are due around 1 November 2026 and Regular Action in early January 2027, with financial aid applications (CSS Profile and documents) submitted alongside.
