About this scholarship

Qatar University offers generous graduate assistantships and scholarships for international students pursuing Master’s and PhD programs. Tax-free stipend in one of the world’s wealthiest countries.

Eligibility

Bachelor's degree for Master's (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0), Master's for PhD (minimum GPA 3.3/4.0). English proficiency (IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL 79+). All nationalities.

Full tuition waiver, monthly stipend (QAR 5,000 Master's, QAR 8,000 PhD), health insurance, housing allowance

How to Apply

  • Be a graduate applicant of any nationality holding a relevant bachelor's (GPA at least about 2.8) for a master's/diploma, or a master's (GPA at least about 3.0, with GRE/GMAT for English-taught PhDs) for a doctorate, meeting English-proficiency requirements (IELTS/TOEFL, with waivers if a prior degree was in English)
  • Apply to your intended programme via the QU online admission application (paying the application fee), submitting transcripts, test scores, a personal statement, and recommendation letters by the deadline
  • Funding is often through a Graduate Assistantship (a stipend with weekly duties) and can cover tuition, accommodation, and other benefits
