About this scholarship
The Slovak Government Scholarship, funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, supports international students and researchers for study or research stays in Slovakia lasting 3 to 10 months. Available for undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, and research purposes. Slovakia offers affordable living costs in the heart of Central Europe, with growing tech and automotive industries.
Eligibility
Open to citizens of all countries worldwide. Must be enrolled at or graduated from a recognized university. For study stays: must be pursuing a degree at the undergraduate, Master's, or PhD level. For research stays: must be working on a specific research project. Good academic standing required.

How to Apply
- Be a citizen of any country other than Slovakia who is a master's-level student (having completed at least about 2.5 years in the same programme), a PhD student, or a university teacher/researcher/artist whose home studies or work are outside Slovakia, and be accepted/invited by a Slovak higher education or research institution for a mobility stay
- You cannot hold another publicly funded scholarship for the same stay (e.g. Erasmus+, CEEPUS, Visegrad)
- Secure an acceptance/invitation letter from your Slovak host, then apply online via the NSP portal (scholarships.sk) with your enrolment confirmation, transcripts, and supporting documents (in Slovak or English) by the deadline (30 April for the next academic year, 31 October for the summer semester).
