How to Apply

  • At Copenhagen, PhD fellowships are salaried positions: search the university's PhD vacancy announcements and apply for an open PhD scholarship or a specific advertised PhD position in a department (open to any nationality)
  • Successful applicants are enrolled in the relevant PhD School and employed by the department for the three-year programme, living in Copenhagen; apply online through the specific call with your CV, transcripts, a research/motivation statement, and references by that position's deadline
  • Non-EU/EEA applicants then arrange a Danish residence and work permit. The fellowship is salaried PhD employment (covering salary; no tuition fee for the doctorate)
