About this scholarship
Yenching Academy offers a unique interdisciplinary master’s degree in China Studies at Peking University, one of China’s top two universities. The one-year program brings together exceptional students from around the world to study Chinese society, history, politics, and culture through rigorous academic and experiential learning.

Required Documents
- Valid passport (min 6 months validity)
- Bachelor's degree certificate and transcripts

- English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+)

- Proof of financial capability (if applicable)
How to Apply
- Be an international student (or eligible Chinese student) holding, or on track to complete by the enrolment deadline, a bachelor's degree in any field, with an outstanding academic record, strong interest in interdisciplinary China Studies, leadership potential, and the required English proficiency (the programme is taught in English; Chinese is not required for admission)
- Apply through the Yenching Academy online application portal by the deadline (around December), uploading transcripts, a personal statement, recommendation letters, and English test scores; the general Yenching Fellowship is considered automatically on application (applicants from partner universities apply via their home institution's internal pre-selection)
- The fellowship is fully funded: tuition, on-campus accommodation, a monthly stipend, one round-trip airfare, field-study costs, and health insurance
