Study in Uganda

Student visa required. Apply with your admission letter and proof of funds after you are accepted.

• Completed secondary education for bachelor's, or a relevant bachelor's degree for master's
• English proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL) if your prior education was not in English
• Academic transcripts and certificates, translated and attested where required
• Valid passport and an admission or acceptance letter from the institution
• Proof of funds and a student visa or residence permit where applicable

Uganda teaches in English and hosts students from across East Africa, with Makerere University in Kampala the oldest and best known institution in the region. Living costs are low. The country is green, temperate for the tropics, and compact enough for easy travel.
