Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS)

The scholarship is open to non-Chinese citizens in good health, within age limits that rise with the level of study, who have a good academic record and meet the language requirements of their programme (English-taught Category A applicants typically need TOEFL 85 or IELTS 6.5). Applicants cannot hold another Chinese government scholarship at the same time. You choose a participating Beijing university and programme and apply directly to its international admissions office, selecting the Beijing Government Scholarship, before that university’s deadline.
