USTC Scholarship (China)

The USTC Scholarship is offered by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), a top Chinese research university, through its International College to support international students across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral study. It is a fully funded award with a strong emphasis on science and technology, delivered through tiered USTC Fellowships.

The award is fully funded, covering a full tuition waiver and, depending on the fellowship level, a monthly stipend (2,500 to 3,500 yuan), medical insurance, and an accommodation subsidy, for the duration of the chosen programme. The fellowship has levels: Level A (funded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences/CAS-ANSO or the Chinese Government Scholarship), Level B (USTC or the Ministry of Education), and Level C (a USTC tuition waiver).

Eligibility is for non-Chinese citizens in good health meeting USTC’s international-student admission requirements (a bachelor’s for master’s entry, or a master’s for PhD entry; undergraduate applicants need a high-school diploma, HSK Level 5, and to be under about 30), not already holding another Chinese scholarship. You apply through the USTC online application system during the window (around mid-October to 31 January), selecting the USTC Fellowship level(s) you want and uploading the required documents; USTC decides the level by a comprehensive evaluation, and PhD applicants identify a supervisor. For science and technology students aiming at China, USTC offers a strong, fully funded route.
