About this scholarship
The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK offers scholarships to citizens of Commonwealth developing countries for Master’s and PhD study at UK universities. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other South Asian Commonwealth countries are specifically eligible. Around 800 scholarships are awarded annually. The program targets candidates who will contribute to development in their home countries.
Eligibility
Must be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country (includes Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, and 50+ other nations). Must hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard. Must be available to start study in the UK the following September. For PhD: must hold a Master's degree. Must not have previously studied in the UK at the same level.

How to Apply
- You cannot apply directly to the CSC
- Apply through a recognised nominating body in your home country (a national nominating agency, selected NGO, or selected university for PhD)
- Submit your application via the CSC online Electronic Application System (EAS) in addition to your nominating body's own process
- Apply before the deadline set by your nominating body
