About this scholarship
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program, operating in over 160 countries. It provides grants for graduate students, young professionals, and artists to study, conduct research, or teach English abroad. The Foreign Student Program brings international students to the United States for Master’s or PhD study. Fulbright alumni include 62 Nobel laureates, 89 Pulitzer Prize winners, and numerous heads of state.
Eligibility
Must be a citizen of a country with a participating Fulbright program. Must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent before the start of the grant. Must demonstrate strong academic achievement and leadership potential. Must have sufficient English proficiency for graduate-level study. Must be willing to return to home country after the grant period. Specific requirements vary by country.

How to Apply
- Be a non-U.S. citizen resident in your country of nomination
- Apply through the binational Fulbright Commission/Foundation or U.S. Embassy in your home country by that country's deadline
- Eligibility and selection vary by country; placement at U.S. universities is handled by IIE
