The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offers scholarships to international students to study at Indian institutions including the prestigious IIT Bombay. The ICCR Scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, and a monthly stipend, providing an affordable pathway to a world-class technical education. IIT Bombay is ranked in the global top 120 and excels in computer science, engineering, and technology.
Eligibility
Must be a citizen of a country that has a cultural exchange agreement with India. Must not be of Indian origin or hold Indian citizenship. Must meet the age requirements of the chosen programme. Must meet the academic entry requirements of the chosen institution. Must be medically fit. Must not be receiving any other scholarship from the Indian government.
Benefits & Coverage
Full tuition waiver at Indian institutions including IIT Bombay, free hostel accommodation, monthly stipend of INR 12,000 (approximately $140/month, sufficient for living in India), house rent allowance for those not in hostels, contingency allowance, annual book grant, medical benefits at institutional health centres

How to Apply
- Register and apply online on the ICCR A2A Scholarship Portal during the application window
- Select up to five universities/courses in order of preference and upload your documents and essay
- Selection is by the Indian Mission/Embassy on merit
- Medical insurance is the student's responsibility
