About this scholarship

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Scholarship Program supports government officials and public sector employees from developing countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and many African and Southeast Asian nations, to pursue Master’s degrees at Korean universities. The program focuses on capacity building in areas like public administration, development policy, agriculture, health, and ICT.

Eligibility

Must be a citizen of an eligible KOICA partner country. Must be a current government official or public sector employee (minimum 2-3 years of experience). Must hold a Bachelor's degree with strong academic record. Must be endorsed/nominated by their government agency. Must be under 40 years of age. Must meet English proficiency requirements (IELTS 5.5+ or equivalent). Must commit to returning to home country after completing the program.

How to Apply

  • Be a citizen of a KOICA-designated partner country (from the OECD DAC list) and a government official or public-sector employee with the required experience, officially nominated by your government, preferably under 40, and not a previous KOICA/Korean Government scholarship holder
  • Submit your application and government nomination to the KOICA country office or Korean Embassy by the deadline
  • Selection runs through an embassy interview, university document screening, and further interview/medical steps
