NTU Research Scholarship

The NTU Research Scholarship supports outstanding international and local students to undertake a higher research degree at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, one of Asia’s top universities. It provides a tuition subsidy and a monthly stipend so that scholars can focus on research, typically toward a PhD, within NTU’s strong research environment.

The award is fully funded for the duration of the research programme (typically up to four years for a PhD), covering full tuition together with a monthly stipend of around 2,200 Singapore dollars with potential increases, an annual research support grant, conference travel funding, and access to advanced research facilities. It is renewable each year subject to progress.

Eligibility is for students who hold a bachelor’s degree (for direct PhD) or a master’s degree with strong academic performance (First Class or Second Upper Honours or equivalent), demonstrate research aptitude, and meet English requirements; it is open to all nationalities and requires a commitment to full-time research. You apply together with your NTU graduate programme admission application, indicating your interest in the scholarship and submitting transcripts, references, and English scores, and you must not hold another financial award.
