Romanian Government Scholarship 2027

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers scholarships to non-EU international students for undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD programmes at Romanian public universities.

• Minimum academic average of 7/10
• Good health certificate
• Age limit varies by level

• Full tuition waiver
• Monthly stipend (RON 700-1,400 depending on level)
• Free accommodation in university dormitories
• Free Romanian language preparatory year

• Be a citizen of a non-EU country (with certain exclusions, e.g. those of Romanian origin who have a separate programme), with good academic results (at least an average of 7 in the Romanian system)
• Choose a study programme in any field except medicine, dental medicine, and pharmacy (bachelor's and master's are taught in Romanian, with a preparatory language year; PhD may be in English)
• Apply online only through the Study in Romania platform during the window (around February to March), uploading diplomas, transcripts, birth certificate, passport, and CV; covers tuition, a monthly stipend, and accommodation (airfare is the applicant's responsibility)
